Kim got her competitive start in American skeet. After winning the championship at age 13, she became captain of the All American team at 14. She enjoys public speaking, giving shooting demonstrations, skiing and hunting, and is an avid builder and restorer of cars. She is a member of the Safari Club International, and is a recipient of her hometown's prestigious "El Monte Title." She is currently studying to become a veterinarian. |

Taking time off after her success in the 2004 Olympic Games, Rhode returned in 2006 with a new focus: skeet shooting. Women's Double Trap was removed from Olympic Games competition following the 2004 Games in Athens. At the 2006 USA Shooting National Championships, Rhode took home the bronze medal in Women's Skeet and earned her place on the U.S. National Team in skeet shooting. The competition marked her return to competition for the first time since Athens 2004. |
