Corey Cogdell Blog - Korea Camp

by Corey Cogdell / August 02, 2008

After nearly 14 hours of flying, a couple hours on a cramped bus and a long haul with luggage we are finally here in Korea and ready to train. We arrived two days ago very late at night, yesterday we took the day off from training to try and recover from jet lag. We had a free day to have a chance to look around and have a little fun before it was time to get down to business. Myself and a few team mates decided to head down to the local flee market and see if we could find any deals. The flee market was such a sight and amazingly overwhelming.  I'm convinced that you could find just about anything you could ever want in the rows upon rows of venders. After shopping around for a few hours and coming up with nothing I could not live without we headed back to the hotel for a quick workout in the hotel gym then off to try and find some healthy food to munch on for dinner.

Today we had our first day of training at the range here in Changwon, Korea.  It is always exciting to shoot on a new range, meet new shooters and get to train after being off the gun for almost 4 days now due to traveling. Although I am still extremely jet lagged and the heat and humidity is nearly unbearable shooting went well today and I am looking forward to shooting once I feel like myself again. As the time grows neared to the Olympics my excitement grows and I just can't wait for this wonderful experience.

The rest of the week will hold much of the same kind of training days as today did. I will train in the morning, workout in the afternoon, and try and relax and enjoy the evenings with my team mates. Check back soon for more updates on my training here in Korea.
