Corey Cogdell Blog - Time to Reflect
by Corey Cogdell / August 25, 2008
We are almost nearing the end of our stay here in Beijing and boy what an adventure it has been.
Today I went to watch Rhythmic Gymnastics and Women's Volleyball finals. I am continually amazed as I learn and watch other sports, the unique abilities that each sport takes and each athlete has. I can remember as a young girl watching Rhythmic Gymnastics and being in awe of the flexibility, power and grace that the sport requires. As I watched tonight I was still in awe and grew an even greater appreciation for the sport.
On the other side of the coin watching volleyball was a thrill as the teams competed back and forth trying to score points. The power and quick thinking those women displayed tonight was pretty impressive.
I keep thinking to myself "how many people get to do this in there life" and I think its pretty cool that I am lucky enough to be one of them.
Closing ceremonies is tomorrow night so check back soon for updates!
